A history as rich as the land itself

From the beginning, it was clear that Brick Chimney Landing was destined to be a place, not a project. The landing has a rich history as an important transportation point on the Cape Fear River, dating to colonial times. Beginning in the late 1700s, bricks from England were shipped up the northeast Cape Fear River and were off-loaded at “Brick Chimney Landing” and dispersed for use on projects around the cape fear region, such as Lillington Hall outside of Fayetteville. Today, the intrinsic value lies in the natural beauty and richness of its riverfront landscape. We connect with the properties rich history and continue its centuries-old legacy of living well.

BCL Homes, based in Hampstead NC, was founded by Trent Talbert and Jeff Pitts through their years of friendship. Trent Talbert has deep roots in the community that extends back many generations. The vision to develop what once was his family’s farmland was realized when Trent and Jeff, an experienced custom home builder from Hampstead, formed a partnership to build quality homes that they would be proud to put their names on. Brick Chimney Landing in Rocky Point NC was started in 2017 allowing new families to experience living in the riverfront community of Pender County, Additionally, it was important to “build in” the kind of added value that would lower the long-term cost of home ownership. Through this partnership and commitment, BCL Homes has grown and continues this belief outside of Brick Chimney Landing with several homes throughout the area.
